Chapter Eleven: My Gender Reveal Party!

Of course if you read my Chapter Nine, you would know already that Baby Tungate is a Boy. We ended up having our Gender reveal party a week early because we were lucky enough to find out that our baby is a boy at 14 weeks.

Putting together a gender reveal party was so much fun yet was stressful. Would I do it again? Probally not but this is my first child and I always wanted to have a gender reveal party and mama bear gets what mama bear wants. Plus it was an excuse to have some delicious food and cake and be surrounded by my loved ones. You can't go wrong with that.

I wasn't even planning on having a cake but my sister in law insisted on making me one. It's nothing fancy but was cute and tasted amazing! We did not reveal by the color inside the cake though. We actually decided to do the box filled with blue balloons.

So it was a last minute project and I managed to finish my box the day of the party. I got the box from Kroger; luckily found one that was the size that we needed. I picked up blue and pink wrapping paper from a local dollar store and decorated it as you can see from the photo, in strips. I cut out a black heart from black card board and just picked up some pink and blue letters to throw on there. I wish I would had used chalk.

We got the balloons filled at Krogers as well but within a day the balloons already started to deflate; just our luck. We made it work and seeing everyone's reactions was well worth it all. :)

We took a photo of team boy and team girl as well. Of course, most people guessed boy because that's what everyone was guessing the whole time lol. I wanted all shock!

It was so much fun. We had a taco bar which was amazingly good. Pink and blue cupcakes, pink and blue candy, the cake, and of course pink and blue drinks. For some reason I forgot to take a picture of the set up 💁 Pregnancy Brain lol.
