Chapter Nine: 14 Weeks Pregnant AND we found out what sex our baby is!
7:35 AMYes I know what you are thinking. You found out the sec of your child at 14 weeks?!? Yes, I did. My husband and I had to visit a high risk specialist in Lexington, Kentucky and at the office they had a high tech ultra sound. It allowed us to find out a little early, plus our baby really wanted us to know.
I honestly didn't care Weither we were having a boy or a girl, I just wanted a healthy baby. Plus after the horrid experience we had before (Chapter 8 explains it all), I just wanted my baby to be healthy.
While we were at the doctors, I notice something between my baby's legs. I asked the ultra sound what that 'bubble' was and she said, "Well, do you want to know what you are having?"
It was very obvious that Baby Tungate is a BOY! He was kicking his legs and stretching them out so that we had the perfect view. I don't want to show off my son's family jewels but here is his 14 week ultra sound. You'll understand what I am talking about in the photo. I had to shake my head at my child but of course, dad was as proud as can be.
I mean, you can not mistake that lol! He sure wanted us to know and at first I found myself kind of sad. I was beyond happy my baby was healthy but all the cute bows and dresses were pushed far away from my reach. I was stuck with hot wheels and cars lol. But that wore off really quick because again, my baby BOY was healthy. I am having a mama's boy and thinking of that and how amazing it will be to have a son, objects don't matter.
No I can't buy pink or dress up my child in silly bows. BUT my favorite color is blue and have you seen baby boy bow ties and dress clothes? Cute as can be! It's not about the outfits though and once I pushed that thought aside, I wouldn't change the news for anything. I am so so so excited to have me a little Mama's boy.
Dad on the other hand, grinned so big and I think I saw some misty eyed action going on. He looked over at me, kissed me, and said, "I didn't realize I wanted a boy until we found out he's a boy." Lol!!! He made me laugh. And the first thing he went out and bought was hot wheels. Lord, this child better like cars as much as his daddy. His hot wheel collection has grown and is well over 50!
Now that we found out 2 weeks early, how was we going to hide this news that long? I knew I could but my hubs sb was about to burst. We moved our gender reveal party up a week and managed to keep our mouths shut until the party. I'll make sure to post all about our party in the next chapter.
I can't believe it! I'm going to be the mother to a baby boy!!!!!!!
